New year, improved me!

I have obviously been AWOL for the past month and a half, and the break from blogging was exactly what I needed. The last six weeks were absolutely cray-zy, with a capital C. With stephen's birthday, end of year concerts, end of year chapels, end of year parties, and then, oh yeah, Christmas, I needed to remove some extra stress, and a break from blogging achieved that for me. But now we are cruising through school holidays and are at the eve of a new year, it seems like the perfect time to not only relaunch the blog, but to relaunch me! I considered calling this post New Year, New Me, but you know what, I don't want a new me, I just want an improved version of me.

If you have been following me for a while, then you can probably guess what my areas of improvement are going to be! My three key areas are health, organisation and finding time for myself, and if I am perfectly honest, the three areas are totally linked, especially my health and organisation. For example, after a lot of thought, I've realised that my average day to day meals are actually very healthy. Where I fall down is when I need to eat on the run, or need a snack, and it have no healthy choices prepared. This tends to lead to a downward spiral during the day, where I eat a poor choice for lunch, I am then hungry in the afternoon, I eat poor choices for snacks, and so on and so on. Similarly, my lack of organisation often means that I need to stay up late ironing or cleaning, but then I am too tired in the morning to get up and exercise.  By tackling all three areas together, I am hoping that I can make real headway in all three goals.

I hope you can join in with me over the next few months as I hopefully make some real changes as I reach for my goal of a new year, improved me!
