Top Ten Posts of 2014

I've never done a top ten posts of the year before, and I was fascinated by the results. By a country mile, my most read posts were about capsule wardrobes and how to make the most of a smaller one. This is great news, since capsule wardrobes are something I passionately believe in, but I kind of thought I was overdoing those kind of posts. But since you all obviously like them too, I will continue to write about them! I will also be bringing you other style, beauty and lifestyle posts over the coming year, so I hope you continue join me at Chic Mummy: every day life, lived in style.

Hi Sarah,

I love your blog, especially since I live in Canberra and can relate to the seasons ...

Where do you source your clothing ideas from? Ie, where could I buy them from?

Hi Michele

Sorry I took so long to get back to you! The items I link to in polyvore collages are not always the exact item I have, but are usually pretty close. The three main Australian stores I shop at are Sportscraft for shirts, dresses, scarves and blazers, Sussans for tees and tops, and Myer for other bits and pieces from the plus sized department. I also shop a lot online from Ann Taylor, Gap and Old Navy. All three do ship to Australia, however, their promotions don't usually apply for international orders. As such, I have a US mailing address through a freight forwarding company (there are a few around - I use and have my items mailed to them. They then on-send them to me at a reasonable price via DHL. Since our seasons are reversed, I usually get great bargains (eg 70% off sale) for the upcoming season. Finally, I also shop from Boden UK, Modcloth and Lands End. Their promos are available internationally, so I buy from them directly. Hope this helps!!
