Theresa, I think that it is fantastic that you have resolved to be different when you are a grandmother, rather than perpetuating the behaviour of your family. Do you have any friends that you can swap babysitting with? With five kids, I truly admire the fact that you can manage with no help. As i said in my post, i honestly don't know how i would have managed on my own, and I only have the two!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02188187745311694038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5829777453390264039.post-82897628070469779492008-08-07T22:11:00.000+08:002008-08-07T22:11:00.000+08:00Chic Mummy ~ love your blog, it's pretty, practica...Chic Mummy ~ love your blog, it's pretty, practical and quite stylish. My sister and I both have three kids (all boys!). We take turns babysitting for each other and it works out well. The cousins all play together nicely no matter whose house they are in! We do "trades" for just a couple of hours all the way up to three-day weekends. Saves money too.
~Tessa~Tessa~Scoffshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14026251653030390293noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5829777453390264039.post-2616735253843064882008-08-07T01:43:00.000+08:002008-08-07T01:43:00.000+08:00It's so good to hear how much you value the suppor...It's so good to hear how much you value the support of your family. I have 5 children and have never once been offered any sort of support for either of our families, to cups of tea, no ironing certainly no childcare or cleaning. With our first I felt terribel about it, but now it's made me determined that when our children are grown and having children of their own, I will be the sort of parent that I would have wished to have, just like yours :o) Good for your parents and inlaws, it's heart warming to hear about.
P.S. I'm really enjoying your well thought out posts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5829777453390264039.post-209240062046015182008-08-05T10:33:00.000+08:002008-08-05T10:33:00.000+08:00Great advice. I only have the one child and have no idea how I would've made it through the past 2.5 years without the help of my Mum.
KathrynAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
